Silk Road to Perceptive Content

To:  Management Council Members and CHROs

From:  Shared Services Center

Area:  Human Resources Operations

Reason:  Silk Road to Perceptive Content

Date:  December 6, 2021

Over the last year, VCCS has been working to replace the software platform we use to support the “onboarding” of new employees. We have been moving from the product called “Silk Road” to a new product called “Avature”.

The waves of the Avature onboarding implementation are almost complete. The Silk Road system contract expires on March 10, 2022.

The SSC and System Office IT are migrating items from Silk Road eForms, Documents, and I-9 tabs to a secure document repository in Perceptive Content. This will provide read-only access to historical information such as proof of citizenship or emergency contacts. All documents will be in .pdf format, except for offer letters. Offer letters will be provided in an Excel spreadsheet.

In the coming months, you can expect to receive User Guides and webinar training on accessing these documents after the migration.

Please submit a list of users from your college who require read-only access to the documents to our Project Manager, Rainy Webb (rwebb), by December 10, 2021. The list should include the user's name and their MyVCCS user-id.

Your college's Information Security Officer (ISO) will need to grant each user the DMS_User role in Rapid Identity.

In the meantime, if you have questions, please reach out to our Project Manager, Rainy Webb (rwebb).
